Personalized Email

Email marketing has evolved from generic marketing to personalized marketing through the advances in database technologies.  Messages sent through email no longer address the reader in a generic, non-personalized fashion such as "Greetings" or worse, "Hello Recipient".  Databases allow you to execute marketing messages that include personalized information that relates to the recipient's interests.  You can also glean the customer's interests through past purchases and any other interactions with your company.

Including personalized URLs in an email campaign can increase the return on a company's marketing investment.  PURLs allow you to customize a landing page for each particular customer.  Through the PURL you can gain more information from them for your next email campaign.  Inserting PURLs into the email messages will not only increase personalization, but it also invites the customer to interact with your company by clicking on their personalized link.  This ensures that you are talking with your customer and not at your customer.
